Physics and History were the latest Luckley subjects to ‘launch’ their ACE Pupil Programmes today.

Pupils from Years 8 to 11 went  along at lunch time wondering how such subjects would be linked. The answer was that this time ACE was all about SPACE!

The lucky pupils were introduced to the space race between the USA and the USSR and considered some of the challenges for getting into space. This involved dramatic carrot projectiles and balloon powered rockets of cunning and sophistication! The intrepid space explorers left with a challenge to make their balloon rockets fly with some control. As with all such things there is a great reward for success – the reward being chocolate!
