Required to start February 2021

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the role of Minutes Secretary to the Board of Governors.  The Minutes Secretary is responsible for taking minutes at all main Board and Sub-Committee meetings and is directly accountable to the Clerk to the Governing Body.

Experience at working at Board level in a School or similar environment is essential.

Duties will include:

  • Taking minutes at all Board and Sub-Committee meetings.
  • Providing draft minutes for approval by the Chairs of Committees and, once approved, forward to the Head’s PA for distribution.
  • Create tracking documents for all matters arising from all Board and Sub-Committee meetings.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of the Board by exercising discretion in communicating information.

Hours:  part time, total of three meetings per term plus an annual Strategic Planning meeting in October.  Currently sub-committee meetings take place on Fridays and Board meetings take place on Saturdays.  Meetings usually take place on site but will if necessary take place remotely.

This is an exciting opportunity to teach Religious Studies at all levels up to and including A Level. Passion for the subject and a willingness to become involved in the pastoral and extra-curricular life of the School, are all essential requirements.
