Job Profile Graduate Boarding Assistant


 

TEACHER OF ART & PHOTOGRAPHY

Required for September 2022 (part-time (approx. 60% FTE), permanent)

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Art and Photography with a passion for teaching creative and exciting lessons. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach Art and Photography together with the desire to develop their own skill set in order to contribute to the continued development of the Luckley Art and Photography Department. We teach Art and Photography as separate endorsed subjects at Key Stage 3 and 4 and at Key Stage 5 we also offer Art Graphics and Photography.

The Department is devoted to developing and nurturing creative students with independent working and critical thinking skills. We employ a holistic approach to the development of our students with excellent teaching and learning and an emphasis on positive working relationships at the heart of everything that we do.

The Department benefits from two large art classrooms and a dedicated Sixth Form classroom. We have a kiln and pottery area, a large flatbed printing press and, alongside digital photography, we have a fully functioning dark room that accommodates manual and film photography processing and development. We run a number of extended day activities and a variety of lunchtime clubs and clinics to help support students when needed. Typically, class sizes are small and within our tailored approach to student learning we encourage students to develop cross curricular links and projects when appropriate. We have an excellent track record in terms of exam results and student outcomes.

DOMESTIC ASSISTANT/CLEANER

To start: as soon as possible

Hourly rate: £9.60

Part-time, Permanent, 20 hours per week

We are looking to appoint a cleaner to join our friendly and dedicated domestic and catering services team. You will work 4 hours a day from 6.30am to 10.30am (Monday to Friday) – term time only, although the start time could be flexible. Your duties will involve the cleaning of school buildings, including residential accommodation, according to agreed work schedules and set standards to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
