We are delighted to announce that we were runners up in the World Book Day Award 2017. We used Oliver Jeffries’ stimuli artwork as the basis for our entry and treated his vision of the stories flying out of the world literally, and used butterflies to represent the variety and beauty of books.

We were thrilled to receive our prize of a copy of ‘A Child of Books’ signed by Oliver Jeffers and Sam Winston, and a framed limited edition print from the book, courtesy of the publisher Walker Books.

Head of English, Mrs Rees headed up a host of activities for World Book Day on Thursday 2 March 2017, including quizzes, book recommendations and making miniature books.
