Head of Business & Economics

We are looking for a well-qualified, innovative and enthusiastic full time Head of Business & Economics. The successful candidate will teach both GCSE and A Level Business Studies and A Level Economics.
Business is a popular subject at KS4 and 5 and you will be joining a small, but growing, Business & Economics Department. The Department currently offers Edexcel GCSE Business (9-1), Edexcel GCE Business and Edexcel GCE Economics A.
If you are an inspirational teacher and an outstanding classroom practitioner with experience of teaching Business and Economics at Key Stages 4 and 5, and you have the ability to provide inspirational leadership of teaching and learning in these subject areas, then we would like to hear from you.

HR Assistant

We are seeking an organised, professional, and self-motivated HR Assistant to provide high-quality HR support across the School. This role reports directly to the Director of HR and is well suited to someone with strong administrative skills who is interested in developing a career in HR.
The role provides administrative support across the whole employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, training, safeguarding and leavers’ processes. Duties include coordinating recruitment and interviews, managing pre-employment and compliance checks, maintaining accurate personnel records, supporting induction and training activities, and providing confidential administrative support to the Director of HR.
The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills and meticulous attention to detail. They will be highly organised and efficient and be able to work to tight deadlines. Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role is essential (preferably in HR). The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality are also essential.
Hours of work
35 hours per week
08:30-16:30 Monday to Friday (one-hour unpaid lunch break)
52 weeks per year.
(There may be some flexibility for reduced hours in the holidays.)

Chaplain
Permanent, full time or part time (3-4 days a week)

Luckley is keen to appoint a strongly pastoral and Christ-centred Chaplain to support the whole school community and lead the spiritual life of the School. This is a Governor appointment, and the role sits on the School’s Leadership Team.
The Chaplain is a key pastoral figure in the school in promoting Christian values and leading the spiritual development of students and staff in line with Luckley’s ethos. The Chaplain forms part of the pastoral team and works alongside it to provide the best care possible for our young people. The Chaplain has a major role in the pastoral care of all our young people irrespective of their individual faith.
The Chaplain’s strengths will lie in spiritual guidance, building relationships, offering counsel, nurturing community ethos, supporting collective worship and values education.
The post is full time if the applicant is also able to teach, however the post could be part time for an exceptional candidate who is not a teacher, likely between 3 and 4 days a week. Non-Ordained applicants with appropriate experience will also be considered for the post. Accommodation could be available.
