  • Exam Invigilators

    Permanent, zero hours contract

    Salary: £12.42 per hour   Start date:  February 2026

    We have an opportunity for highly organised, committed and enthusiastic individuals to join our current team of Exam Invigilators. The role involves conducting examinations in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) awarding body and Luckley House School’s regulations and instructions. The successful candidates will be able to work effectively in a busy school to ensure that the integrity of both internal and external exams is maintained. Previous experience of invigilation is not essential as full training in the role and duties of an invigilator will be provided.

  • Learning Skills Specialist Teacher

    Zero hours contract – up to 12 hours per week to be worked over 2-3 days

    (More hours may be available)

    Salary: £44.54 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

    We are looking to appoint a well-qualified, innovative, and enthusiastic Learning Skills Specialist Teacher to join our Learning Support Department.

    Currently, the team is composed of a SENDCo, an Assistant SENDCo, two Specialist Literacy Teachers, a Maths Tutor, a Departmental Administrator, an EAL Teacher, a Science Teacher, and a Learning Support Assistant.  The team is highly qualified and experienced in supporting pupils with learning differences.

    Together with specialist tuition, our team of experienced teachers deliver Study Support either to individuals or small groups, where we cover areas such as active learning, the use of assistive software, strategies and examination techniques. The use of Onenote, Teams, MS Surface devices and interactive whiteboards in classrooms are central to teaching at Luckley House.

    Some students arrive at Luckley House with learning differences that have already been diagnosed, such as dyslexia or dyspraxia. Other students are identified through our extensive screening processes and are subsequently assessed by a specialist teacher or an Educational Psychologist.

    We aim to ensure that students with learning differences are identified as early as possible in their Luckley House career to ensure that the most appropriate support is put in place as quickly as possible. This allows our students to develop appropriate learning and revision strategies that will allow them to achieve in line with their potential.

  • Administrator to the DFO & Leadership Team

    Permanent, part time     Salary: £22,703 per annum (£26,831 FTE)

    Start date:  November 2025

    We are seeking a proactive and experienced administrator to provide effective administrative support to the Director of Finance & Operations (DFO) and to the wider Leadership Team.

    The role involves providing support to the Director of Finance & Operations (DFO) in their role as Clerk to the Governors. This includes organising meetings of the Governing Body, producing, collecting and distributing the agenda and papers, maintaining membership and attendance records and ensuring that the governors training is kept up to date.

    In addition, the role also involves providing administrative support to the wider Leadership Team and providing support in the School office one day a week and in the absence of the School Secretary.

    The ideal candidate will have substantial experience as an administrator at a senior level, excellent written and oral communication skills and meticulous attention to detail. They will have a proactive attitude and the ability to use their own initiative and will be able to be discreet and maintain confidentiality. Previous experience of organising meetings and diary management is essential.

    Hours of work

    35 hours per week, 09:00-17:00 Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year.

    Adminstrator to the DFO & Leadership Team

  • Minutes Secretary to the Board of Governors

     

    Permanent, part time      Salary: £15.22 per hour

    Start date:  November 2025

    Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the role of Minutes Secretary to the Board of Governors.  The Minutes Secretary is responsible for taking minutes at all main Board and Sub-Committee meetings and is directly accountable to the Clerk to the Governing Body.

    The ideal candidate will have substantial experience as a minute taker at Board or senior level, excellent written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.

    Duties will include:

    • Taking minutes at all Board and Sub-Committee meetings.
    • Providing draft minutes for approval by the Chairs of Committees and, once approved, forward to the Clerk to the Governors for distribution.
    • Safeguard the confidentiality of the Board by exercising discretion in communicating information.

    Hours of work

    At least three meetings per term plus an annual Strategic Planning meeting in the autumn term. Currently Sub-Committee meetings take place on Fridays and Board meetings take place on Saturdays. Meetings will be held either on site or remotely.

    (The role requires some flexibility to work evenings and weekends to attend and minute meetings.)
