  • Teacher of MFL

    Permanent, part time (approx. 50% FTE)
    Salary: Competitive, depending on qualifications and experience
    Required for September 2025

    We are looking to appoint a well-qualified, innovative, and enthusiastic part-time Teacher of MFL (approx. 50% FTE to be worked over 3 days).

    You will be joining a motivated team, comprising four teachers covering French, German and Spanish, and three Foreign Language Assistants, to deliver AQA specifications at both GCSE and A Level.

    The successful candidate will have the ability to teach French up to and including A Level and Spanish to at least KS3.  The ability to teach Spanish to KS4 is desirable. The ability to teach an additional language would also be an advantage.

    Job profile – Teacher of MFL

  • Maths Tutor

    Permanent, zero hours contract
    (up to 10 hours a week worked over 2 days)
    Required for September 2025     Salary £41.11 per hour

     

    We are looking to appoint a well-qualified, innovative and enthusiastic Maths Tutor to work in our Learning Support Department.

     

    As Maths Tutor, you will work with our students through a variety of intervention strategies with the aim of securing improved outcomes and progress for pupils who may need additional support across both KS3 and KS4. This is likely to include pupils with neurodiverse profiles.

     

    A good honours degree in a relevant subject and a good understanding of the needs and characteristics of pupils across the age range 11-18 are essential.

    Job profile – Maths Tutor

  • FOOD PREPARATION AND NUTRITION TECHNICIAN

    Permanent, part time
    £9,094 per annum (£22,427 FTE)
    To start in September 2025

     We are looking to recruit a suitably experienced Technician to work in our Food Preparation and Nutrition Department. The ideal candidate will work as part of a team to provide technical and practical support to the Food Preparation and Nutrition Department in order to ensure consistent excellence in the standards and achievement, teaching and learning, quality of provision and personal development of all pupils within the department. As well as being organised and methodical in their approach, the successful candidate will be able to work without constant supervision and have relevant practical experience in catering as well as an awareness of food hygiene procedures. A background of working in schools would be an advantage.

    Main Duties

    • Daily preparation of ingredients, equipment and teaching materials for lessons, including the enrichment programme. Ingredients will be provided as well as materials for lessons, including the stocking of storerooms with consumables.
    • General tidying and clearing away before and after all lessons. This includes keeping sinks, cookers and worktops clean.
    • Under the supervision of the teacher, sorting through food orders and purchasing ingredients for practical lessons when necessary.
    • Responsible for the laundry for the food preparation room.
    • Checking and routine maintenance of kitchen equipment and ensuring that equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately.
    • Ensuring the health and safety procedures are understood and followed.
    • Carry out administrative tasks – filing, photocopying, displays, ordering, preparation of exam papers
    • Cleaning and general maintenance of storeroom, fridges and cookers.
    • Stock taking, checking for repairs and ordering replacement equipment. To be responsible for the annual inventory check of the food preparation and nutrition department equipment.
    • Issue cover work for absent staff and assist cover staff with the theory or practical lesson. To help ensure the cover work is completed during the lesson.

    Hours:  18 hours per week, term time only plus INSET days.   09:00 – 13:30 four days per week, days tbc.  (There is some flexibility around finishing times.)

  • Library Assistant

    Salary: £23,021 FTE (pro rata £9,076) per annum

    Luckley House School is looking to recruit a part-time Library Assistant to assist the Library Manager in the general running and maintenance of the School Library and its stock. Previous experience of working in a library would be an advantage but is not essential.

  • Spanish Language Assistant

    Permanent, zero hours contract (approximately 4 hours a week)
    Required for September 2025
    Salary: £26.98 per hour

    We are looking to recruit a part-time Spanish Language Assistant to assist with the teaching of Spanish in the Modern Foreign Languages Department for approximately 4 hours a week.

    Working solely with students in Years 10 to 13, the Spanish Language Assistant will help students with their preparation for the oral component of public examinations.
