Teacher of English (full time, maternity cover)
To start October half-term 2026
Luckley House School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of English to join our vibrant English department from October half-term 2026. This is a maternity cover position for up to one year. The successful candidate will teach English to pupils across Years 7 to 11, delivering a diverse and engaging curriculum tailored to individual needs. At Key Stage 3, we offer a curriculum of our own creation, and from Year 9, we deliver the Edexcel IGCSE specification.
You will work collaboratively with a team of experienced and dedicated specialists to inspire and engage pupils, fostering confidence, resilience, and a love for English. The English department is housed in a fantastic building that also accommodates our school library and SEND team, providing a supportive and resource-rich environment.

Learning Support Assistant
Permanent, full time (term time only)
Salary: £18,239 per annum (£23,132 FTE)
Start date: September 2026
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our vibrant and busy department from September 2026.
This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with special educational needs, primarily in Years 7 and 8, both within the classroom and through small group interventions. You will play a key part in helping young people access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Pupil Progress (SENDCo), teaching staff, senior leadership team, and external professionals including Speech and Language Therapists and Educational Psychologists.
We are looking for someone who:
- is caring, patient and enthusiastic
- has excellent communication and teamwork skills
- is committed to inclusive education
- can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- is flexible, proactive and eager to make a difference
Experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 08:30 – 16:30 Term time only
