DOMESTIC ASSISTANT/CLEANER

(to start as soon as possible)
Permanent, part time

15 hours per week, term time only

£10.20 per hour

 We are looking to appoint a reliable and hardworking person to join our team of cleaners to maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the School. Previous cleaning experience is not essential as full training can be provided.

Hours:  3 hours a day, Monday to Friday, term time only.

(The hours of work can be flexible between the hours of 5.00am and 10.00am.)

TEACHER OF MATHS

Permanent, full or part time
Required for April 2023 (an earlier start date can be considered)

We are looking to appoint a well-qualified, innovative and enthusiastic full-time or part-time Teacher of Mathematics. The successful candidate will teach across all Key Stages, including A level. For the right candidate there is also a possibly of teaching Further Maths at A-level, depending on experience and expertise. The role could also be suitable for an ECT.

You will be joining a small, dedicated and highly successful Mathematics Department, committed to improvement and passionate about teaching and learning. We are a close-knit group and each member is an integral part of the team, working together, sharing ideas and developing resources cohesively.

MINI BUS DRIVER

Permanent, part time
To start November 2022 (or as soon as possible thereafter)
£11.66 per hour

We are looking to recruit a friendly and enthusiastic Minibus Driver to join our team of drivers providing a safe and efficient transport service for our pupils on one the School’s designated bus routes.

Drivers are also expected to assist in looking after the school minibuses, ensuring they are safe, clean and tidy at all times.

Hours of work, term time only

Monday to Thursday     Morning shift: 06:30 – 09:00       Afternoon shift: 16:00 – 19:30

Friday                              Morning shift: 06:30 – 09:00        Afternoon shift: 16:00 – 18:00

We are also happy to consider applications to work either a morning or afternoon shift.

TEACHER OF PE (Maternity Cover)

Full time, Fixed Term Contract

Luckley Sport is a vibrant, forward-thinking department, that has seen excellent growth over the past couple of years, including the construction of our new MUGA. We have a traditional afternoon games programme, alongside a varied PE curriculum. We are committed to developing innovative teaching and learning, that encourages all pupils to reach their full potential and be the best they can be.

The successful candidate will be qualified to teach core sports across the age ranges. Experience in coaching netball is desirable, but not essential. The ability to teach A level would also be an advantage.

Passion for the subject and a willingness to become involved in the pastoral and extra-curricular life of the School, are all essential requirements.

FOOD PREPARATION AND NUTRITION DEPARTMENT TECHNICIAN

To start November 2022 or as soon thereafter as possible
Permanent, part time

Salary: £9,103 per annum (£22,450 FTE).

We are looking to recruit a suitably experienced Technician to work in our Food Preparation and Nutrition Department.

The ideal candidate will work as part of a team to provide technical and practical support to the Food Preparation and Nutrition Department in order to ensure consistent excellence in the standards and achievement, teaching and learning, quality of provision and personal development of all pupils within the department.

As well as being organised and methodical in their approach, the successful candidate will be able to work without constant supervision and have relevant practical experience in catering as well as an awareness of food hygiene procedures. A background of working in schools would be an advantage.

Hours: 18 hours per week, term time only plus INSET days.

09:00 – 15:00 on Tuesday

09:00 – 15:45 on Thursday and Friday

with half an hour for lunch.

(There is some flexibility around finishing times.)

Food Preparation and Nutrition Dept Technician


LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT

Full-time, term time only

Required for November or as soon as possible thereafter

We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to provide support for a neurodiverse learner who is embarking on the crucially important GCSE years of study and who requires individual support to thrive and achieve in line with their strong academic potential.

Your duties will include running specific programmes and activities to assist the pupil’s individual learning and social needs.  You will also be responsible for implementing the targets on the pupil’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) in liaison with the Subject Class Teachers and the SENDCo.

Previous experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs in a Secondary school setting and a good standard of English and Maths (to GCSE level) are essential requirements.

TRANSPORT SUPERVISOR

Permanent, part-time. Required for September 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter

Salary: £27,008 FTE

We are looking to appoint a Transport Supervisor who is able to demonstrate a high level of organisational skills with excellent interpersonal skills. The supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the School’s transport service, and provide first line management of, and cover for, our team of School Minibus Drivers.

Your hours of work will be Monday to Friday 07:00 to 12:00 (noon), term time only, plus two weeks in the school holidays and on call duties as specified in the job description.

CHINESE TUTOR

To start: January 2023 or as soon thereafter as possible

We are looking to appoint a well-qualified, innovative and enthusiastic Chinese Tutor to assist with the teaching of Chinese. The ability to teach both Mandarin and Cantonese will be a distinct advantage but is not essential. Working solely with the students in Years 10 to 13, you will assist with preparing pupils for external exams at both GCSE and A Level. The teaching commitment will involve approximately 2 hours a week. These hours are subject to fluctuation according to the uptake at both GCSE and A Level.

CLEANER/SERVICES PORTER

Due to significant growth in the School we are looking to appoint a Cleaner/Services Porter. In addition to general cleaning duties you will also assist the maintenance team with setting up for functions and events across the School. It is a busy, physical role where stamina and strength will be essential and the ability to think and work on your own initiative.

We offer a competitive rate of pay of £10.20 per hour.

Hours: Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm) during term time and school closure periods.
