In these unprecedented times, the PE department is excited to announce the launch of Luckley House School’s Virtual Sports Week. Students, staff and parents are invited to participate in this exciting week-long event, representing either their House or the parent/staff team.
The event will begin on Monday 29 June and finish on Friday 3 July. Each day will bring a number of different physical challenges to participate in, and with participation and scores win points for the respective house/team. In addition to the daily activities there will also be week-long challenges, such as the step challenge and the 5k challenge.

Challenge 1 – 30m Dash – Measure 30m, get on the start line and record how long it takes to get to the finish line.
Challenge 2 – Speed Bounce – Place and object down on the floor and record how many times you can jump over it and back in 60s.

– Stepcount over the week – how many steps do you do throughout the week? Add them all together.
– KM covered (bike walk, run, row) over the week – add each days km covered together and submit them on Friday!
– 3 KM run – fastest time!
– 5 KM run – fastest time!

Challenge 1 – Handstand Press – Perform a handstand against a wall and see how many shoulder presses you can perform.
Challenge 2 – Stand Up – Easier said than done! How many times can you stand up in 60s, WITHOUT using your hands.
TODAY’S BOSS LEVEL – KEEPY UPPY CHALLENGE – Inspired by a young lady in Year 7. How many can you do continuously? A point for every ten you can do. Submit via the form.

Challenge 2 – Ball Toss – throw the ball up and over your head (behind you), measure how far you can throw it?

Challenge 1 – Standing Broad Jump – from a standing start, how far can you jump forward, measure from the back of your feet.
Challenge 2 – Triple Jump – try something new. Standing on either leg, complete the triple jump technique (right-right-left or left-left-right) and measure from the back of your last landing.
Challenge 3 – Plyometric Jump – find something to pile up (measure how tall it is) and jump it – make sure you don’t knock it over.
