Claire Gilding-Brant announced as new Headmistress

We are delighted to announce that Mrs Claire Gilding-Brant has been appointed as the new Head of Luckley House School with immediate effect. Mrs Gilding-Brant brings extensive experience and expertise to this role, having served in senior leadership positions at Luckley for over a decade. Most recently, she has been Interim Headmistress, following her tenure as Senior Deputy Head, where she led on pastoral excellence, safeguarding, and strategic development. Her career spans operational management, pupil progress, and change management, underpinned by academic research in leadership and behaviour oversight.

Claire is also an ISI Team Inspector and holds an MA in Education from the University of Reading. She is currently pursuing doctoral research in educational leadership, focusing on peer influence in implementing behaviour policies. In addition to her work at Luckley, Mrs Gilding-Brant serves as a Governor of a leading Prep School in Windsor, further demonstrating her commitment to shaping outstanding educational experiences.

Her vision as Head is to build on Luckley’s strong foundations of Love and Service. She will look to ensure that every child embarks on a unique and meaningful journey through an ambitious environment resulting in excellent outcomes. Claire smiles as she reflects “When I first joined Luckley, I knew it was an extraordinary place. Now, with the privilege of leading it, I am incredibly proud to be part of this community and to guide its future. Copper will be also delighted with her new office.’’

Our shared goal is to deliver a truly holistic education that empowers every pupil to thrive, equipping them with the knowledge, character, and confidence to embrace the opportunities and challenges of an ever-evolving world. In addition, we are thrilled to announce the appointment of our new Chaplain, Frankie Knight, who will be joining us in January to lead the spiritual development of pupils and staff, in line with the Christian heritage and heartbeat at Luckley.
