Luckley Welcomes New Chaplain

new Luckley House School Chaplain, Frankie Knight

The governors of Luckley House School are absolutely delighted to announce the appointment of Frankie Knight as the School Chaplain.

Frankie has spent her working life to date supporting pastoral and Chaplaincy work in independent schools.  After graduating, she worked as a resident tutor in a boarding school and as a youth intern at a church in Cheltenham.  She then moved to Oxford and spent ten years working for a charity, Lymington Rushmore Holidays, which seeks to give young people the chance to explore the Christian faith at school and on holiday camps.  Since moving to Wokingham, she has worked as a teaching assistant and emotional literacy support assistant at Ludgrove Prep School whilst also helping with the chaplaincy and pastoral life of the school.

Frankie is passionate about the unique environment that schools provide for young people to develop their sense of self, their personal wellbeing and their understanding of the Christian faith and its relevance to life.  She lives in Wokingham, where her husband is a Church of England minister, and they have a one year old son.

Frankie will work closely with Mrs Gilding-Brant and the leadership team to promote the School’s Christian values and will lead the spiritual development of pupils and staff, in line with the Christian heritage and heartbeat at Luckley.
