The Board of Governors is delighted to announce that Mrs Sarah Seldon has been appointed as our new Chaplain, joining the Senior Leadership Team from September 2026. She previously taught at Luckley and has also served as a Governor at the School.
Sarah brings a wealth of experience in pastoral leadership and wellbeing within school communities. Her background includes many years of teaching Modern Foreign Languages, leading PSHE and Wellbeing, and contributing significantly to the spiritual life of several schools through assemblies, chapel services, Christian Union involvement, and staff support. Alongside her educational leadership experience, she has a longstanding commitment to fostering Christian environments grounded in love and service, which encourage people to live life to the full
In her new role, Sarah will lead the development of our school’s Christian ethos, support pupils and staff pastorally, oversee services and assemblies, and work closely with Governors and the Senior Leadership Team as we continue to strengthen our moral and spiritual identity. She will also be taking on the Lead for our Life Skills programme. Her deep understanding of pastoral care, combined with her ability to build trusted relationships across a community, makes her an exceptional fit for this position.
Sarah joins us from Lambrook School where she is currently Head of Wellbeing. We warmly congratulate Sarah on her appointment and look forward to welcoming her into this important role at the start of the next academic year. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs Frankie Knight for all her hard work in setting up the Chaplaincy role and wish her every success as she steps back from July to focus on her family.
Mrs Claire Tao
Chair of Governors
